Into the Lion's Den

Ever hear of In Sync Exotics? Most of you probably haven't and neither had I until yesterday afternoon. My wife wanted to do something other than spend Sunday with me cleaning out the garage, and she found this really great place for the whole family to visit. In Sync is a non-profit wildlife rescue center for big cats which is funded primarily through ticket sales as well as souvenir t-shirts, sweatshirts, calendars, etc. All of the animals have come from private residences across the country whose owners quickly realized that having a lion in the backyard wasn't that great of an idea after all. In Sync is located in Wylie just off of Hwy. 78, and they have lions, several types of tigers, lynx, cougars, cheetahs, and servals. They have over two dozen areas and dens for the cats, and all of the cages were very clean. If you like big cats or would like to spend an hour or so doing something out of the ordinary, head out to Wylie for a great family activity!
