What is "Xeriscaping"?

If you were thinking of zero-scaping then go to the front of the class! But if you were thinking that it means only putting native plants in your yard...well...that's incorrect. I always believed that misconception, too. Apparently, xeriscaping is when you select plants based on their drought tolerance and/or their lower consumption of water. If you can select plants which are also native to your area, then that's just a bonus!
