Ever hear of In Sync Exotics? Most of you probably haven't and neither had I until yesterday afternoon. My wife wanted to do something other than spend Sunday with me cleaning out the garage, and she found this really great place for the whole family to visit. What is "Xeriscaping"?
If you were thinking of zero-scaping then go to the front of the class! But if you were thinking that it means only putting native plants in your yard...well...that's incorrect. I always believed that misconception, too. Apparently, xeriscaping is when you select plants based on their drought tolerance and/or their lower consumption of water. If you can select plants which are also native to your area, then that's just a bonus!
