Friendship Ranch

This home was designed for a young family who was building their first home in Grayson County.  At nearly 4700 square feet it features split bedrooms with the master suite on one side of the home and three bedrooms on the other.  Typical of the homes that I design today this house does not have a formal living room but instead has a study.

The clients wanted their house to have an open feeling but they didn't want the public rooms to be completely open.  The formal dining room has an opening that faces the family room only and there is a small wall separating the family room from the kitchen.  The rooms still have a feeling of being connected with each other but the added walls make a great place for additional furniture and artwork.

This home sits on a one-acre property and makes great use of the lot.  We have a large rear porch and two 2-car garages separated by a porte cochere.  At the back of the house near the kitchen is a great home office with a staircase that leads upstairs to the newly-completed media room.
